Graphic Designer
Here's your chance to put your talent to work utilizing some of the world's greatest artworks as your starting point. The Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute in Williamstown, Massachusetts is seeking an experienced designer to lead the museum's graphics program, working on a wide variety of projects including advertising, ephemera, branding, signage, exhibition design, books and assorted publications, and retail product development initiatives. The Clark is not your ordinary museum ... and we need a far-from-ordinary design pro to take on a wide range of projects that reinforce our brand and capture the energy and excitement that defines our programs. You have to be a creative, well-organized self-starter who can take on a major rebranding campaign, juggle multiple projects and competing deadlines, collaborate on a website redesign project, and harness the power of our exceptional collection of some of the world's greatest artworks to create visually stimulating designs for a full range of marketing and advertising activities. If you've got at least 5 years of working design experience, a great portfolio of creative ad campaigns, vibrant marketing collateral, and cool web projects, then we want to hear from you. You must be able to implement all creative requirements across a wide range of platforms and be equally adept at controlling all production activities to achieve first-class results. Photography skills are a major plus. You've got to have exceptional InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, Dreamweaver, and HTML skills as well as the ability to meet deadlines, manage tight budgets, cajole printers, and work well with a diverse staff of internal clients who include top museum curators and world-renowned scholars. Salary is commensurate with experience and includes an excellent benefits package.
