We're looking for new recruits to join a strong, stable, and growing Canadian company.
We have positions available for Heavy Duty Mechanics in a number of our 21 locations across Western Canada, including Fort McMurray, Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta. This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of construction and forestry based equipment and attachments.
Responsibilities:
Perform service, repair, and diagnostic and preventative maintenance procedures on heavy duty construction and forestry equipment.
Use related instruments, hand and power tools, secondary equipment, and computer systems.
Accurately and completely document on work orders all machine information, actions taken and time.
Continually assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely and to accepted standards.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
Proof of a recognized education heavy duty mechanic credential and or at least 9,000 hours ‘hands on’ experience in the heavy duty mechanic trade.
Ability to successfully challenge the Canadian Red Seal heavy duty mechanic examination and any other provincial trade examinations as required.
Valid, clean driver’s license and valid passport.
Capable of meeting the physical demands of the heavy duty mechanic trade.
Solid foundation of technical knowledge and skill, preferably with John Deere construction and forestry equipment.
Committed to customer service, service excellence, and achievement.
Ability to communicate and work effectively with customers, and the service team and other branch personnel.
HOURS OF WORK:
Attractive rotating shift schedules available (1 week on/1 week off, 2 weeks on/ 2 weeks off or 3 weeks on/3weeks off).
