HRIS Business Analyst

Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP is currently seeking a HRIS Business Analyst for our Philadelphia office.  Under minimal supervision, this position plans, coordinates and manages the Firm’s human resource information systems in support of the Legal Personnel function ensuring end user productivity and efficiency.  The HRIS Business Analyst analyzes the business needs of the Attorney Personnel function and provides recommendations for the use of technology in supporting those needs (from the suite of firm applications).  Activities include responsibility in any one or more of the following areas: human resource systems analysis and related activities, system administration, report development, process re-engineering and functional systems training.  The HRIS Business Analyst serves as a liaison between the Firm Information Technology department and Firm Attorney Personnel end-user (HR) community. 



Requirements:

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university, a minimum of 3 years of directly related professional Human Resources Information Systems or IT experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.  The successful candidate must also have a high proficiency in MS Excel (use of functions, macros, pivot tables, etc.), MS Access (able to develop forms, queries and reports), Lotus Notes, Lotus Sametime, Blackberry, Internet Explorer, Palm Desktop, Avaya IP SoftPhone, Avaya Audio Bridge Workstation Administration, operating system applications such as Calculator, system tools such as disk Cleanup, and an understand SQL fundamentals.  Lawson HR experience a plus, as well as Reporting Services.

To perform the job successfully, an individual must demonstrate a strong analytical ability; be familiar with HR analytics; have an aptitude for learning new systems and technologies; the ability to develop multiple projects and priorities with professional maturity and strong attention to detail; the ability to be detail-oriented and thorough, with the ability to check his/her own work and produce accurate results.  Must also possess good project management and technical skills, excellent written and oral communication, and exercise good judgment.
