Under limited guidance, responsible for assessment, management, and planning of activities to ensure all plant instrument and control systems are operational and available to support plant production requirements. In addition, responsible for technical support for daily operations, plant and process improvements, equipment acquisition, plant breakdown and analysis, and recommending corrective actions. Collaborates closely with Production Manager, Operations Specialist and production team. Maintains personnel training matrix. Ensures standardization of best practices, supports team toward the goal of perfect execution of all production processes, assesses current operating and maintenance skills among team and develops plans to ensure proficiency in I&C and electrical. Drives quality processes, participates or leads root cause analysis efforts, prepares various operating reports. Ensures that all production activities are completed in a safe and environmentally responsible manner in accordance with federal, state and local laws and consistent with PGD policies, procedures and practices. Job may include other misc duties as assigned.
Advanced I&C skills or willing to be trained including Ovation DCS, Mark VI, Emerson AMS, Allen-Bradley PLC, transmitters, control valves and water chemistry analyzers highly desired.
Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent experience) and 2-5 years relevant duties experience and relevant supervisory experience required, if applicable.
