Interventional Unit Patient Care Technician
JOB DESCRIPTION: Patient Care Technician- Interventional Unit Position Summary :
Performs direct and non-direct patient care duties and technical tasks as assigned by and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse / Nurse manager. Specific duties may vary by assigned area.
**This is a per diem position; apply accordingly.**
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Experience :
1-3 years experience as nursing assistant or related healthcare experience required; Nurses Aide or Patient Care/Multi-skilled Tech certification preferable; experience in critical care or telemetry setting preferred.
Education :
High school graduate or GED required; completion of Patient Care or Multi-skilled Tech certification program also preferred.
Required License / Credentials :
Other Required Skills :
CPR certification, arrhythmia recognition within 3 months of hire; skilled patient care tech certification or successful completion of DHLC Patient Care Tech course. Ability to work well with others, conscientious, organized and reliable; ability to read and write English.

Regular internal and external contact involving considerable tact and discretion in handling information.

Works under general supervision of RN and/or Nurse Manager in performing routine assignments, referring unusual and difficult situations to immediate supervisor.
