UPS Freight, a leader in the LTL trucking industry, is currently seeking Linux/Unix Administrator to work in our Information Systems Department. A Linux/Unix Administrator will be responsible to:
Job Responsibility
5+ years Linux System administration and engineering experience including diagnostics with Unix tools on RedHat Linux ES 5
Working knowledge of complex web hosting configurationcomponents, including firewalls, load balancers, web and database servers. Well versed in Apache web server. Experience with JBoss and IIS .net web server a plus
VMWare - ability to deploy, support, and diagnose realissues for a production environment
Able to support NFS, Sendmail SNMP, TFTP, Iptables, Nagios, Syslog and Samba
Proficiency with fiber channel switches and SANs a plus
Experience with Solaris operating systems and Solaris virtual containers a plus.
Experience with supporting Netapp storage a plus.
Experience with supporting Netbackup a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated analytical/problem solving ability
Has good time management and organizational skills
Ability and desire to learn new skills quickly
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be at least 18 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent
U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the U.S.
Must have 5+ years of Linux System Administration
Proficient in the use of Excel, Word, and Power Point
