Logistics Management Analyst
Applies logistics, distribution and supply chain knowledge to support USTRANSCOM in assessing existing capability gaps and direct ly supporting development of a Joint Concept Development and Experiment project that identifies capabilities necessary to aid the Joint Force Commanders in planning/creating/operating a theater distribution network. Requires familiarity with supply chain processes and the ability to effectively communicate with a broad range of enterprise stakeholders. Must have the ability to lead or contribute to deployment and distribution related projects and studies that leverage inputs from a wide variety of functional areas and data sources. Requires knowledge to perform data consolidation, cleansing and analysis, and presents data from one or more source systems to analyze integrated data and factors on existing distribution capability gaps in order to identify required capabilities to mitigate existing gaps in support. Must possess the knowledge, skills and abilities to retrieve data from a broad range of sources, compile the data into standardized formats and with sufficient quality to conduct analytic studies, and to apply basic analytic tools and techniques to produce decision-support products. Duties will include developing data collection and analysis plans (DCAP) and ensuring sufficient analytical rigor to effectively explore experimental questions and support experimental results; produce mathematically and qualitatively relevant analysis; and produce credible transition products recognized by legitimate transition agents. Position requires a balance of functional and analytic skills, and positive people skills for working in a team environment.
Basic Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Masters Degree from an accredited college or university, with preferred educational tracks in Supply Chain and related Logistics fields, Mathematics or Operations Research with 10 years experience.
