Job Title: Fine Jewelry Sales Manager
Overview:
As a Fine Jewelry Sales Manager, you will drive My Macy's for the Fine Jewelry department by leading the selling process and coaching and recognizing the selling team. You will manage all activities related to leading a team including training, coaching, developing and motivating to deliver an outstanding selling environment.
Key Accountabilities:
Sales
Participate in all meetings with Executive team
Drive and exceed sales goals by executing Macy's initiatives, lead Sales Associates through coaching and recognition
Review your personal Selling Area Scorecard monthly for your Associate Turnover, Sales & Star Rewards results
Ensure consistent attendance among staff and compliance during weekend hours
Motivate Associates to solicit Star Rewards by reinforcing the benefits of new accounts
Coordination of operational tasks as required such as; merchandising, sales and event set-up, price changes, transfers, damages, RTVs, stockroom organization and merchandising
Review and analyze reports; implement action plans focused on deficient areas
Partner with vendors to support promotional events and trunk shows
Become a leader by role modeling selling behaviors whenever on the work schedule
Identify best sellers and key items and communicate merchandise needs to optimize the My Macy's process
Ensure accuracy of promotional presentation; communicate advertising and sales information to Associates
Establish high level of shortage awareness and effectiveness; ensure that all policies and procedures are implemented
Customer
Coach Associates to consistently deliver effective selling behaviors resulting in high customer engagement
Review & utilize Associate Scorecards to provide recognition; develop and communicate strategies to improve results
Observe Associates twice daily through formal observations focusing on selling behaviors; ensure Associates are providing an outstanding shopping experience to all customers
Coach to Associate Scorecard metrics weekly through daily informal observations defining one focus metric and behaviors to improve an individual metric
Ensure optimum sales floor coverage and selling is focused in Fine Jewelry department
Maintain high customer readiness standards; deliver a clean, neat and easy to shop store environment
People
Recruit, interview and hire selling focused Sales Associates
Ensure all Associate training is conducted on a timely basis, ensure assigned mentors engage with new hires
Coach Associates on product knowledge by holding in-store product training
Engage in Macy's recognition program; reward Associates with recognition cards
Meet with Associates weekly to identify top sellers and talk about opportunities
Conduct ongoing Talent Analysis of Associates and establish career progression plans for key players and positions to result in retention of best people and turnover reduction
Utilize review process as a tool for Associate talent development, promotion and advancement
Monitor and address performance issues on a timely basis
Address Associate concerns in a reasonable and fair manner consistent with the values expected by the Company
Lead team to support giving back to the local community helping create stronger, healthier places to live and work
Skills Summary:
A minimum of 1-3 years in a leadership/supervisory position; Fine Jewelry experience a plus
Ability to empower and develop a team

Strong organizational skills and time management skills
Ability to plan and execute strategies
