As a valued caregiver: The Maintenance II performs preventive maintenance and repairs to buildings, electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems, and refrigeration systems. This position requires effective communication, and an ability to plan and make decisions. Heartland’s caregivers are required to follow the RESPECT Counts Standards of Behavior.
Skills of the Maintenance II include:
Repairs water and waste systems.
Performs repairs on HVAC equipment.
Installs and repairs small and major appliances.
Follows current health system policies and procedures.
Understands equipment readings and operating ranges.
EDUCATION: High School diploma or GED.
LICENSURE: Must obtain within eighteen months of employment approved EPA CFC License. Valid driver’s license required.
EXPERIENCE: One year in plumbing, HVAC, electrical and building maintenance; refrigeration experience and appropriate certification preferred.
