Job Description
1. Address market and marketing research needs within each of the assigned U.S. Medical Products businesses with well-designed, critically analyzed, and efficiently summarized research findings providing conclusions and recommendations.
2. Manage and maintain stable of qualified and economical market and marketing research suppliers. Support the processes used by Marketing and Marketing Research to create RFPs, route contracts and HFAC filings.
3. Design methodology and sample plan for research objectives. Understand fundamental strengths and weaknesses of various marketing research methodologies and data collection techniques.
4. Has working knowledge of various secondary data sources (e.g.Thomson Reuters, Wolters Klewer, IMS, Premier Infomatics) and understands fundamental strengths and weaknesses of each source. Critically analyzes, summarizes, and provides actionable recommendations from secondary market research.
5. Assist in compilation, maintenance, and enhancement of standard market tracking reports (ex: Market Maps, product audit reports, Trending and Trending studies, etc.) including: quality checks, data analyses, and summarizations.
6. Manage the day-to-day contact with research/data sources on contractual, billing, and overall project issues. Including, but not limited to:
•Coordinate activities with research suppliers to ensure timely delivery and adherence to contract and budget.
•Monitor quality of incoming data and information.
•Assess reliability of secondary sources and data.
•Trouble-shoot and resolve quality issues with internal and external suppliers.
Job Requirements

•Excellent computer skills, particularly with spreadsheet (Excel) and presentation (PowerPoint) software. Ability to rapidly learn new software applications.

•Resourcefulness, initiative, self-starter 1. Bachelor's degree required; (Masters degree in marketing, business, or finance/accounting preferred)
2. Five to seven years experience in marketing research;
3. IMS Dataview experience required
4. Healthcare/pharma industry experience is required.
