Manager of Financial Reporting
The successful candidate will perform a variety of supervisory and advanced accounting functions, including supervision of Senior Accountants and as needed to perform the monthly general ledger close, coordinating annual external audits, and liaising with various departments and senior management. This individual will be responsible for the completion of monthly accounting close and preparation of monthly financial statements as well as preparations of SEC Form 10-Ks and 10Qs along with any other required financial information. Additionally, it will be required to perform monthly consolidation and financial reports, review results; and investigate any unusual items while working closely with the Assistant Controllers. The selected candidate will ensure that all documents and financial information complies with U.S. accounting and SEC reporting standards and will serve as a key resource for the accounting and finance management team. Other responsibilities will include establishing accounting policies and interfacing with other departments to develop procedures. This individual will compile information requested by our client's Production Partners Tax Accountant and the 'parent' Company's Tax Department in conjunction with filing tax returns; preparing periodic tax provisions, and other tax-related projects. The Manager will also lead various new business initiatives; assist with the implementation of new accounting standards, and participate in special successful applicant will possess the following requirements (items are required unless noted otherwise): * Completion of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting required and CPA, Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business is preferred* Minimum 7 years of related experience in Accounting / Financial Management including experience with general accounting functions such as maintaining general ledger, analyzing accounts, resolving discrepancies, and financial management reporting
