Overview:
Under general supervision and with minimal assistance from more experienced and knowledgeable programmer analysts, develops, modifies, and implements moderately complex information systems that are thorough and accurate and conform to MST standards. Translates customer requirements, recommending system solutions and formulating detailed specifications from which programs are written. Codes, tests, debugs, and documents assignments of moderate complexity. Independently researches and resolves moderately complex technical problems. An intermediate level technical contributor in one or more specialized phases of application system analysis and programming with developing business application knowledge. May serve as primary system support for one or more moderately complex information systems. May serve in the MST Solutions Framework roles of Development Lead, Project Manager, Testing Advocate, or Operations Advocate.

Key Accountabilities : MUST HAVE: MANUAL TESTING EXPERIENCE WITH DB2 AND ORACLE
Experience with CMMI or other quality system processes
2-3 years experience with Software Application testing techniques and quality assurance practices.
2-3 years experience with all phases of the test cycle (Test planning, Test case development, test execution, regression & system test)
Hands on test script creation and execution experience in a MainframeWeb/Java environment desired
Experience logging and tracking defects
Experienced testing web based applications on mutliple browsers
Experience w/ test management tools (Compuware QA Director, Mercury test director; Rational Test Manager etc.)
Experience creating and validating data to test functional component of application
Relational DB/SQL experience (query database to verify test results/find test data etc.)
Experience testing report functionality (operational and Analytical data warehouse reports) a plus
Experience with test automation development and tools
Identify major developmental or design risks and action plans
Excellent verbal/written communication skills
Solid negotiation and problem/solving skills
