Diesel Systems Job Description : -Develop and maintain manufacturing strategies for equipment, gaging, ergonomics, workplace layouts, labor and material flow to meet strategic goals.-Investigate and solve manufacturing process problems using a variety of tools, including statistical methods, 5-Why, Ishikawa, and Shainin.-Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation and quality plans according to company standards. (Includes Control Plans, PFMEA's, PQI's, SPC charts, gage logs, etc.)-Effectively implement/coordinate capacity planning, cost calculations, new manufacturing/product releases and engineering changes.-Lead projects to reduce cost, improve quality, machine utilization and safety.-Adapt existing equipment to run new product types and variations.-Plan, specify, order and implement new equipment to meet future product demand.-Perform process development to achieve cost effective and robust solutions.-Support production teams and CIP activities.-Provides direction to production associates as needed.-Communicate with suppliers, customers, support departments and counterparts in the US and Europe. Job Requirements : -BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering degree- Effective problem solving skills-Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as:-Assembly, testing, and packing .-Ability to coordinate and manage multiple tasks simultaneously-Ability to teach and work with workshop personnel in a manufacturing environment.-Communicate and interact effectively in English, both verbally and in writing-Project planning experience-Self starting, results oriented, flexible, team player-Ability to apply statistical methods and perform statistical analysis-Basic knowledge of control systems; e.g. electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic-Willingness to travel FERRED:-German language skills.
