Medical Laboratory Technician -Westlake Child Lab Department: Laboratory/Off-site Lab Schedule: Part time Shift: Day Shift Hours: M-F 8:30a-5:30p, rotating weekends and holidays Minimum Hourly Rate: Commensurate with Experience Job Details: * GENERAL SUMMARY Responsible for large amount of capillary and venipuncture phlebotomy, processing of samples and entry of related information in the Laboratory Information System. Must be a supportive link between the Outpatient Laboratory, main lab, clinics and community physicians and able to work efficiently and independently while promoting a team environment.
* MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * MLT(ASCP) registered or equivalent. * One year experience in capillary and venipuncture phlebotomy and general laboratory testing. * Ability to work independently and excellent communication skills. * Must be willing to adapt to change and expansion in the laboratory and Outpatient setting.
MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS * Ability to stand for more than 1 hour at a time, sit for more than 1 hour at a time. * Good visual and auditory acuity. * Full use of hands and arms. * Ability to speak clearly. * Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
