Our National Security Global Business is seeking a Protection Operations Specialist to serve as a Mission Assurance Analyst and Researcher.  The position will be located at a US Government Facility in Southern California.    

 

Position Responsibilities

-          Support development, implementation, and operation of US Marine Corps protection programs through participation as a team member in Mission Assurance (MA) assessments specific to US Marine Corps installations.

-          Using analytical techniques, research, develop and present pros and cons of various courses of action to US Government clients who will use this information to make installation protection decisions.

-          Assist in installation MA policy development and implementation through research and analysis of alternatives.

-          Conduct protection-related MA analysis of installation emergency management plans, emergency operations plans, continuity of operations plans, business continuity plans, strategic plans, and/or business plans in support of Marine Corps protection initiatives.   

-          Conduct interviews of subject matter experts throughout I Marine Expeditionary Force (I MEF) as a component of an analysis process to determine task critical assets (TCAs) within I MEF. 

-          Conduct analyses of Mission Essential Tasks (METs) of I MEF, its higher headquarters up to the Combatant Commander (COCOM) level and subordinate elements to develop mission assignment chain linkages of the I MEF TCAs to the METs. 

-          Provide technical assistance to I MEF and its subordinate elements in entering TCAs identified and their mission assignment chains into the Marine Corps Critical Asset Management System (MC-CAMS).

-          Work with Mission Assurance staffs of various I MEF host installations to investigate and identify installation infrastructure critical to support I MEF TCAs and missions.

 

 The following qualifications must be met to be considered for this position:

 

-          US citizenship.

-          Ability to gain and maintain TOP SECRET Security Clearance. 

-          Master's degree with study focus in National Security.    

-          Minimum fifteen years US Marine Corps operational and staff experience.      

-          Experience developing US Government staff action analysis and decision support.

-          Five plus years experience using Microsoft office software. 

-          Excellent writing, speaking, briefing, interpersonal and negotiating skills.  The successful candidate will develop and deliver analysis and briefings in support of Marine Corps installation protection efforts; develop and provide assessments and recommendations to the US Government client and represent Marine Corps installation protection efforts within discussions and seminars.         

-          Strong analytical skills.

-          Strong work ethic, high self-motivation, positive attitude, goal orientation with the ability to get things done.   

-          Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, adjust to changing client focus and priorities, successfully multi-task and set individual work priorities.

-          Ability and willingness to travel to attend conferences, training and MA assessments.   

 

THE FOLLOWING IS DESIRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION:

-          DOD Top Level school graduate.

-          Knowledge of database entry procedures.
