Provides analytical, administrative support within an internal control environment. Responsible for assisting in the execution of the Operational Risk Program for the Line of Business. Assists team in gathering and organizing data that will help track, report and manage internal control gap issues and mitigation plans. Incumbents typically have up to 2 years of risk management experience. Reviews Loan Modification decisions for completeness and accuracy. File review includes document review, income calculations, coding and decision accuracy.
Examines residential loan documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with appropriate company and secondary market investor standards. Evaluates credit decisions for accuracy based upon established risk parameters and in accordance with policy, program, and product guidelines. Provides feedback to business partners as appropriate. Responsibilities may include examination of several different types of lending (conventional, government-backed, home equity, etc.). Responds to company, individual, and investor audits. Assists with fraud detection and prevention. Generally has 2-4 years of experience in residential loan underwriting and/or processing.
They should be able to calculate income to debt ratios, etc.
Requirements:
Required skills
3+ years mortgage underwriting experience
PC knowledge and Windows Navigation experience including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel
Desired Skills
Willing to work Overtime as needed
Mortgage servicing or loss mitigation experience a plus
