Summary:
The Patient Care Nurse Manager functions as administrative liaison between staff, patients, physicians, families, other hospital departments and outside agencies for the purpose of coordinating and delivering clinical patient care services.
Responsibilities:
- Makes administrative decisions and provides appropriate notification to the administrator on call.
- Responds to patient care complaints and ensures all complaints are handled in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures and/or legal compliance requirements.
- Conducts hiring, training, directing, development and evaluating of staff. Serves as a resource to clinical staff in connection with dealing with complex or complicated patients.
- Identifies and resolves issues affecting the delivery of patient care. Facilitates education and training of staff.
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- Three years of experience as a staff registered nurse is required.
- One year of experience in a leadership role required.
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing required.
Licenses & Certifications:
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support certification required.
- Current Pediatric Advncd Life Support certification required.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Florida required.
- Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum preferred.
