Job Description
The Office Coordinator III, under the direction of the Clinic Manager, supervises the day-to-day office and reception functions of the Clinic, including hiring, orientation, evaluation, performance management, scheduling, and provides backup as necessary to carry out daily s position typically supervises between 13 to 20 non-clinical full-time employees.
Job duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
Under the direction of department leadership, supervises the day to day office functions of the Clinic including hiring, orientation, evaluation, performance management, and scheduling, serving as backup as needed. Assists in orienting all new staff members.
Compiles and prepares clinic data in a timely, accurate and efficient manner. Responsible to ensure staff trained and held accountable for accurate patient registrations and co-pays. Effectively role models interpersonal skills and problem solving skills to aid in the resolution of issues in a timely manner.
Role models positive, efficient customer service. Functions as back up, as needed, for charge posting, payroll entry, reception, or other office functions, promoting positive, efficient and effective customer service. Actively supports department customer service initiatives.
This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position. Must be available to work 40 hours per week. Shifts will generally be Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional early morning, evenings and weekends may be required. Starting salary is $15.41.
Minimum Requirements
3 years of direct supervisory experience.
4 years of experience in a medical office (clinical) setting required.
This position requires verifiable current Healthcare Provider or Professional Rescuer CPR Certification. An original card must be verified prior to start date or the job offer will be withdrawn. For additional information regarding CPR requirements, please visit our Job Requirements page .
Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or one with which Intermountain Healthcare has a valid affiliation agreement
Strong computer skills required. Proficiency in word-processing, spreadsheet and advanced computer applications (i.e. database and/or presentations).
Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal relations skills required.
Demonstrated leadership, personal and professional ethics and an ability to inspire and motivate others required.
Previous experience developing relationships with physicians are required.
Ability to organize, prioritize and work independently on projects.
Must exhibit strong negotiating skills and have strong financial management skills.
Must be a dynamic leader that is able to gain trust and respect of the physicians, staff, and peers.
