Outside Sales Representative
Our customer is a global leader in the design, manufacture, installation, and service of a comprehensive array of networked and integrated fire alarm and suppression, security, and communications systems. The Sales Representative is responsible for identifying, promoting and selling service, maintenance, inspection and monitoring agreements on all types of integrated systems and sprinkler products.
Responsibilities:
• Establish contact with prospects and qualify potential buyers by scheduling sales calls, following up on leads, and utilizing marketing strategies.
• Determine customer needs and develop a sales strategy to gain customer understanding of company product offerings.
• Close sufficient sales to meet or exceed sales plan objectives.
• Develop and maintain an active proposal backlog that will support achieving the designated sales plan.
• Develop a sales plan for assigned territory to include segmenting territory based on customer type, qualify and prioritize opportunities, and maintain appropriate territory records.
• Allocate time effectively with goals of exceeding quota requirements.
• Assume account management responsibility including the provision and/or coordination of services (installation, customer training, etc.) to assure complete customer satisfaction.
• Conduct seminars, demonstrations, etc. in order to generate, develop and qualify leads for prospective customers.
• Develop financial justifications, prepare proposals, make presentations, and perform necessary follow-up for successful closing of the sales.
• Maintain established accounts through regular customer contact in pursuit of follow up sales.
• Perform periodic market investigations within an assigned territory to develop new applications; provide sales forecasting for assigned territory.
• Participate at trade shows, special product demonstrations, and other events with the objective of increasing sales and enhancing the company’s image.
• Provide feedback to marketing regarding new product/services opportunities.
• Support Construction Sales Representatives as required.
• Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
• Two or more year’s successful sales experience in a fast paced, proactive sales environment.
• Exposure to computer/applications software a must.
• Ability to sell intangible services.
• Independent, creative thinker.
• Must possess good oral and written commutation skills and sales techniques, solid presentation skills and closing techniques.
• Must be highly motivated and success driven with good organizational skills.
