Participation in the Econsystem Monitoring Program specifically with regard to the visits of merchant vessels to re-equip, re-supply, and download data. 3. The installation nad maintenance of pCO2 systems on NOAA and non-NOAA vessels that operate in the northeast region. More details of the Ecosystem Monitoring Program can be found at: The state of "ocean acidification" on the northeast U.S. shelf must be defined and monitored over time as part of a larger effort to understand the effect of ocean acidification on marine resources. Program components include monitoring, laboratory research and modeling all aimed at assessing the potential affect of ocean acidification on the northeast U.S. continenetal shelf ecosystem. The monitoring activities include the collection of water samples during NOAA REsearch Vessel surveys and the installation of underway pCO2 sensors on NOAA and non-NOAA vessels. Integrated Statistics is looking for a technician to assist the Project scientists by conducting and reporting research consistent with the purpose of this project in the following capacities: 1.
