Product Design Summer Intern
Interns will be assigned to work in the Design Office Studios located at the Chrysler Group LLC Headquarters located in Auburn Hills, Michigan. They will interface with management/employees and would participate in all the daily activities and assignments. Assistance is provided by on-site design, engineering, computer support, clay sculpting, and fabrication specialists. Interns are on roll 5/21/2012 - 8/24/2012. The total work assignment is expected to last 14-16 weeks. Design Interns will create near term vehicle designs, in addition to advanced packaging proposals. Assignments will range from complete interior compartment designs to a variety of hard, soft, and electrical interior components.
Basic Qualifications: • Working toward a degree in automotive, product or industrial design
• Must have completed sophomore year
• 3.0 or higher GPA -- Must produce transcripts when offer is accepted
• A current portfolio, representing work from freshman year to the present
• Strong interest in automotive Industry
• Exhibit strong leadership and presentation skills
• Ability to work both individually and as a team member in a creative & diverse environment
• Exceptional design intuition with strong presentation and design communication skills
• Working knowledge of Alias, Microsoft Office, Illustrator, Photoshop, PowerPoint and/or similar programs
