Project Coordinator, Health Education
The Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Center for Tobacco Prevention and Control has exciting openings for full-time Project Coordinators in the field of tobacco control. Responsibilities include program planning and implementation, contract/budget management and reporting, interaction with other programs and agency initiatives, and some community outreach. The successful candidates will work with statewide programs that may include: media and health communications, public health policy, and execution and oversight of prevention, cessation, and tobacco-free efforts. Position will be housed at the DHMH Preston Street headquarters.
Requires a Bachelors degree (Masters preferred) in public health, community health education, or related field, and a minimum of two (2) years experience in health education program implementation, development, planning and/or promotion and communications. A Masters degree may be substituted for two years of experience. Strong written communication and presentation skills required.
This is a full-time contractual position through the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) with some benefits that will be housed at the DHMH Preston Street headquarters. Starting salary range is low $40s to low $50s, commensurate with education and experience.
