    In this position you will be responsible for the project management of various high voltage maintenance and construction products and services offered under Portland General Distribution Services to our customers.  The objective of this position is to provide products and services to customers who own high voltage electrical systems.  



    Requirements:


    Project Manager, Portland General Distribution Services/High Voltage Services

    Top candidates:
    • College degree in engineering or related field, or Journeyman Lineman’s card or an electrical license, or an equivalent of eight years’ practical field experience
    • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience working in the electric utility or related industry, or complete a PGE approved project management course
    • PMP Certificate is preferred
    • Demonstrated skill, expertise and knowledge of construction and safety practices (NESC/NEC, OSHA), and licensing and permitting issues and utility power supply systems
    • Must have excellent computer skills, with demonstrated skills in various software programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Outlook, WMIS, and communication packages
    • Must have valid drivers and the ability to drive in varying road conditions including ice snow, wet, dry, light or dark
    • Must be capable of spending significant portion of time in construction environments with associated physical obstacles and safety hazards
    • Ability to manage multiple projects within budget and timelines to meet customer expectations and requirements
    • Ability to provide analysis and make thoughtful, timely decision on issues which could impact project completion within budgetary and schedule constraints
    • Manage inside and contractor crews within parameters set by contracts of job requirements
    • Available for 24/7 emergency outage response for the customers
