Job Description
•Independently plan, execute and direct cross-functional engineering projects that may cross-traditional product lines. Diverse new approaches to problems encountered through adaptations and modifications of standard engineering principles.
•Manage projects on a cross-functional basis, including direct supervision of team members.
•Manage the project costs (all financial aspects). This will include capital expenditures and cross-functional expenses.
•Identifying and resolve complex problems, including the development of new design experiments, without supervision.
•Provides clear direction on project requirements to meet expectations of customers and stakeholders.
•Leads the team in defining project strategies, developing goals, assigning project tasks and ensuring the team meets all goals.
•Sets the project strategy, schedules, resource alignment and financial analysis.
•Approves team deliverables for project completion
•Provides technical support in all phases of product manufacturing.
•Uses project management tools to develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and problem solving with project managers, line managers and other manufacturing managers.
•Interacts through program updates and reviews with all levels of management.
Job Requirements
•Must be technically competent in engineering, quality, and manufacturing disciplines with the ability to coordinate and manage project leaders from all disciplines.
•Must have in-depth process knowledge of related manufacturing equipment and processes
•Must possess excellent problem solving skills
•Must have excellent project management skills
•Must be able to analyze and interpret scientific and statistical data
•Must have working knowledge of Federal Food and Drug Administration, OSHA, and Good Manufacturing Practices requirements
•Must have strong aptitude for operation and controls of manufacturing equipment and processes
•Must have a working knowledge of all Project Management tools and possess knowledge of related disciplines. Including Microsoft Office, Project and statistical concepts.
•Must be self-motivated, have good interpersonal skills, capable of analyzing and solving complex problems through innovative thought and experience, as well as, project management tools.
•Must demonstrate managerial expertise, and strong financial acumen. Display ability to communicate effectively using a wide variety of skills and vehicles.
• Bachelor's degree is required; a Masters in Engineering is preferred. 3-5 years within Manufacturing with 1-2 years experience in a Manufacturing Leadership Role (Supervisor or Above) is desired. 1-2 years Manufacturing Project Management recommended. Proficient in Lean Tool Implementation (SW, 6S, Six Sigma, Transactional Process Improvement, Set Up Reduction, Value Stream Mapping, etc) preferred.
