Job Description
The Clinical Psychologist Internship Training Coordinator will provide assessment, evaluation, and support to behavioral health patients and their families in a latency age residential unit and coordinate the administration and direction of the psychologist internship training program.
The incumbent will spend approximately 3 days per week in the Clinical Psychologist role and provide individual, family and group therapy, disposition planning and case management, coordinate patient and family needs through a multi-disciplinary team, develop treatment and discharge plans and provide clinical updates to third party payers. Approximately 2 days per week will be spent supervising pre-doctoral psychology interns and expanding the development of the internship program.
This position is a full-time benefits eligible position.
Minimum Requirements
- Doctorate degree (Ph.D.) in Psychology from an accredited program. Intermountain verifies both degree attainment and educational institution accreditation following an offer of employment.
- Current Utah license as a psychologist
- Experience in conducting pediatric psychological and psycho-educational assessment/consultation
- Familiar with current cognitive, academic, personality, and social-emotional functioning assessment procedures used to provide diagnostic/treatment recommendations including neuropsychological testing
- Experience with intake evaluation regarding patients seeking evaluation and treatment services.
- Psychologist will adhere to all appropriate standards of practice as outlined by the American Psychological Association, State Licensing Board, and Intermountain Healthcare.
Preferred Qualifications
- Psychiatric and/or chemical dependency treatment experience with children and adolescents preferred
- Experience with the coordination and development of an internship training program
- Experience reviewing and interviewing applicants for placement within an internship training program
Physical Requirements
Standing, walking, stooping, bending, reaching, lifting, turning, visual and auditory acuity at a level to provide safe and effective care in a pediatric hospital setting.
