Title: Quality Assurance Analyst ITS

Primary Role
Responsible for developing and executing formal test plans to ensure the delivery of quality software applications for up to moderately complex projects. Participate in test planning, writing test cases/test scripts, test execution, and test automation. Track quality assurance metrics (e.g., defect counts, test status, test results). Document all issues and assists in their resolution. Participate in the internal quality consultation provided to business or technical partners.
Key Accountabilities
Policies and Procedures
*Follow ITS policies and procedures, including Change Control, project management methodology, and SOX controls.
*Contribute toward continuous process improvement of internal ITS processes in order to meet changing business unit conditions.
*Perform quality audits across the various ITS functions to ensure quality standards, procedures, and methodologies are being followed.
Project Requirements
*Develop and execute formal test plans.
*Develop and execute software testing scripts.
*Record and report on defects discovered during the QA and UAT testing phases.
*Develop and distribute project level status reports.
*Develop and maintain automated functional test scripts.
*Coordinate and support user acceptance testing.
*Analyze and document business processes relevant to systems projects and improve these processes where appropriate.
*Execute change management tasks in systems projects including, but not to limited to, communicating to key user communities, providing subject matter expertise, and acquiring proper approvals.
Other Daily Activities
*Provide implementation and roll-out support to users.
*Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle, as needed.
*Suggest and implement process improvements for Quality Assurance and testing processes.
*Assist with the administration of the automated testing tools.
*Provide the ITS organization with feedback on the direction of the business, as appropriate.
Skills
*Skilled in SAP is a plus
*Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal.
*Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other software.
*Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, planning and organizational skills.
*Demonstrated ability to work effectively on projects that have enterprise-wide impact and require subject matter expertise of quality assurance and software testing.
*Ability to work effectively as a project team member on projects to ensure the quality of the delivered software.
*Demonstrated ability to absorb and present large amounts of detail through various forms of communications.
*Demonstrated ability to facilitate discussions in a mixed technical and business team environment.
Knowledge
*Demonstrated awareness of common industry automated testing tools, e.g., IBM Rational Functional Tester or HP Quality Center.
