Each employee is required to support the mission of the Chickasaw Nation upon becoming a member of the Chickasaw Nation team. Our mission is to better the lives of the Chickasaw people in all that we do.
Designing, engineering, testing, operating, maintaing, troubleshooting and installing LAN and WAN networks
Design, engineer, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot VOIP Communications Systems including Radio and Contact Center solutions
Active member of a team that is responsible for the design and ongoing reporting of metrics associated with network systems
Monitor and assess WAN utilization and performance along with IDS, firewall, router and network operating system logs
Provide subject matter expert knowledge in all current routing protocols to include EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP
Provede subject matter expert knowledge in all current VOIP protocols including SIP and SCCP
Ensuring systems are secure to prevent unwanted access
Design and manage a disaster recovery plan
Effectively troubleshoot basic to advanced issues involving Cisco routers, VPNs, switches, firewalls, and communication systems
Maintain ACLs on all WAN network devices
Operate and maintain the VPN infrastructure in use throughout the CNDC
Gather, compile, and maintain network diagrams
Provide helpful advice on equipment purchases for life-cycle replacements as well as up and coming network related projects
Create, implement, and distribute policies and procedures for the Wide Area Network
Assess bandwidth requirements to ensure network capacity and processing speed
Perform preventative maintenance procedures to ensure equipment has latest authorized releases, patches, and/or fixes applied to meet requirements
Configure, operate, and maintain network related applications including various Cisco Management Applications
Interact and coordinate with other organizations within CNDC both on an informational and technical level
Update, troubleshoot, and process incoming trouble tickets
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
Certification: one of the following requirements is preferred: CCDA; CCNA; CCNP; CCSP; CCVP or must be able to obtain license and certificates within 6 months of hire.
Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of related experience in network and systems engineering and administration is required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Required to have very good verbal and written communication skills
Strong understanding of Cisco IOS and routing protocols
Must be willing to work as part of a team and have good communication and problem solving skills
Ability to diagnose & resolve network issues
Must be able to lift/push/pull 40 lbs
Working environment will be 90% indoor, 10% outside. The outside work environment could be very hot or cold
Must be able to work rotating shift schedules which provide 24 hour day/7 day week coverage
Training and Experience: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Certificates or License: Must be able to pass background check and receive a gaming license from Chickasaw Gaming Commission. Must possess a valid drivers license. Must be able to successfully complete a negative result on pre-employment drug test.
