Regulatory Compliance Professional
Title: Regulatory Compliance Professional Location: USA-Oklahoma-Oklahoma City Job Number: 00005555 Primary responsibility is to provide regulatory permitting and compliance support for Permian Texas asset teams. Position requires coordination between internal asset disciplines such as Regulatory, Land, Operations, and Geology as well as federal and state agencies. The position will be responsible for assisting the coordination, planning and compiling of the information required for permit submittals with the state agencies responsible for oil and gas development in Texas. An understanding of oil and gas production, daily operations, range management and reclamation practices, hydrology, cultural resource and wildlife biology issues within Texas is preferred. The position requires the individual to work independently and to have the ability to work cooperatively with agencies and internal team members. The position requires good communication skills with the ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams. The position calls for a high level of organizational skills and the ability to work in a time sensitive environment with a working knowledge of the timing issues facing permitting within state and federal agencies along with an ability to work quickly and efficiently on projects with short deadlines. The position requires knowledge of all areas of regulatory compliance, processes and procedures needed for the construction, operation, support and maintenance of oil and gas well sites and must possess the ability to perform routine analysis of issues and identify solutions to regulatory problems and/or challenges presented by all internal asset disciplines. Essential Functions: * File various permit applications and reports with regulatory agencies for E&P operations * Advise and update E&P groups about regulatory requirements and other compliance issues * Must have the ability to work cooperatively with team members * Provide support for regulatory professionals with regards to permitting and compliance issues * The ability to build and maintain relationships with the state regulatory agencies is essential for this position * Travel and extended work hours on short notice Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree * 2 - 5 years of experience in Regulatory Permitting * Experience working with the Texas Railroad Commission * Knowledge of common software packages Access, Excel, Word * Moderate degree of independent thinking and initiative * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Team player with interpersonal skills capable of cultivating and maintaining excellent working relationships with a variety of disciplines * Willing to occasionally work long hours and/or weekends to complete required tasks Job: Regulatory Compliance
