Responsibilities include animal handling of mice and knowledge of basic mouse models used for immunological experimentation. Immunological knowledge is required including structure of moue and human immunoglobulins, activation of the mouse immune system, and rudimentary knowledge of antigen presentation to T cells. ELISA techniques and cell-based bioassays are regularly utilized including toxin neutralization assays, viral neutralization assays and ELIspot. Cell culture experience is preferred. This position routinely employs simple statistical methods. Knowledge of aseptic technique is required. Knowledge and experience with safety controls including personal protective equipment is with 4 or more years of relevant experience of MS with laboratory experience.
