Job Details: Related course work is required.
1-2 years experience is preferred.
Job Description:Under the direction of the Chief of Cardiovascular research, performs experiments designed to increase understanding in the field of cardiovascular research. Executes molecular biology protocols at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Promptly retrieves and stores all tissue and blood samples. Keep accurate records of all tissue and blood samples. Performs immunohistochemical analysis. Assists investigator in processing tissue samples. Assists in training new investigators and laboratory personnel. Prepares, cuts and stains both frozen and paraffin embedded tissue samples.
Qualifications: BA or BS from accredited four-year college. Required coursework: Biology and chemistry with Lab. Chemistry, Anatomy and Physiology, Physics, Statistics. Molecular biology experience preferred but not required.
