Under the supervision of the Cardiopulmonary Services Medical Directors, Department Manager, and Team Leader, the Registered Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing diagnostic cardiac and diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory therapy procedures in accordance with specific physician's orders, department policies and procedures.
Experience Requirements :
Completion of all clinical rotations during Respiratory Care school required. Previous clinical Respiratory Care experience in a medical center of comparable size preferred.
Education Requirements :
Requires Associate Degree in Respiratory Care from a AMA approved Respiratory Care Program and a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). Certificate of Course completion required for established Certified Respiratory Care Practitioners.
Licensure/Certification Requirements :
BLS, NRP ,PALS, ACLS required within 6 months of hire. Respiratory Care NC license required.
