Router/Truck Bay Manager
Position Summary:
Develop and deliver the routing plan on a daily basis and on-time. Also, responsible for the institution and maintenance of various short and long term projects focusing on operational efficiencies.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop a daily routing plan using the ARC routing system
Assign helpers to customer deliveries when appropriate
Occasionally address service issues
Maintain database integrity as it relates to customer records
Assign “loads” to the proper bays in accordance with the account profile and driver feedback
This position will work as a backup to the floor managers and supervisors
Support the operations department with any additional projects or tasks
Other projects and duties may be assigned as needed
Requirements:
Qualifications

Strong interpersonal skills
Good organization skills
Good communication/listening skills
The ability to developCredibility with the drivers and loaders
Ability to work within a time window and sometimes under moderate pressure.
Knowledge of route operations and delivery requirements
