BASIC PURPOSE
Manages the sales and service operations of an assigned store to ensure targeted sales production and collection objectives are achieved. Also directly markets, sells and services consumer-based financial products to new and existing customers.
SUMMARY
The Sales Manager is responsible for the overall successful sales and operations of the Store. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, sales, marketing, customer relations/service, collections, financial goals/profitability, scheduling, staff management, reports, and administrative duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Supervises the marketing, sales and customer service activities of assigned staff.
• Coordinates allocation and use of company resources to ensure efficient stable sales growth and collections.
• Works with Corporate Marketing Group to develop and execute local marketing plans and strategies including marketing schedules, coverage maps, and customer appreciation programs.
• Coordinates personnel activities of staff (i.e., personnel scheduling, trains, appraises, rewards, motivates, disciplines, and recommends terminations as appropriate.)
• Recommends candidates for interview and selection.
• Prepares store reports and documents in accordance with established company policies and procedures.
• Maintains sales and operating records, and files in accordance with established company policies and procedures including Federal and State regulatory compliance.
• Promotes the sale of the company’s products by:
• Establishing and maintaining community-based business relationships.
• Soliciting and cross-selling in-store customers.
• Generating leads and conducting outbound telephone calls to market multiple products to new and existing customers.
• Secures new, profitable financial product sales by:
• Identifying customer requirements.
• Preparing and processing all necessary forms and agreements, and reports in accordance with established company policies and procedures.
• Evaluating the financial stability and credit worthiness of customers and, where applicable, in accordance with established company and third-party policies and procedures.
• Maintains and manages customer case files to:
• Deliver high levels of customer service including problem resolution.
• Identify opportunities to introduce and cross-sell products.
• Ensure proactive customer service.
• Ensure state and federal regulatory compliance.
• Manage debt servicing and collection.
• Performs cash handling functions in accordance with established accounting policies and procedures.
• Performs such duties as necessary to ensure that the store is neat, clean and organized (NCO) and provides a safe and productive environment for associates, customers and visitors.
• Assists other Sales Managers with the operation of their stores as may be needed from time to time.
• Performs other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide new hire training as appropriate.
• Supervises store operations.
• Customarily and regularly supervises less than two full-time equivalent Sales Associates.

QUALIFICATIONS
The following describes the required and preferred qualifications to perform the essential duties and responsibilities.
BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE
Required:
• Stable work history to include a minimum of one (1) year of customer service experience in a small to medium sized retail store or collections environment.
Preferred:
• Stable work history to include three (3) plus years sales experience in a small to medium sized retail-based financial products and services environment. Includes a demonstrated record of success meeting or exceeding established sales objectives. Experience in maintaining and tracking store budgets, expenditures, sales statistics. One year management experience.
ACADEMIC
Required:
• High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred:
• Associate degree or higher in business with a concentration in marketing, sales, finance or management.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Required:
• Excellent verbal/written communication, presentation and organizational and problem solving skills.
• Basic math skills to balance accounts
• Demonstrated management skills including planning and strategy execution.
• PC literacy with keyboard, mouse and data entry.
• Enthusiasm, self-motivation and the ability to work independently as well as a part of a team.
• High degree of professionalism, including integrity and honesty
Preferred:
• Consumer financial product knowledge including pay advance, installment and auto equity loans, debit and credit cards, auto insurance, e-tax filing, collections and / or money transfers.
• Demonstrated consultative selling skills including the capacity to prospect and convert qualified leads into sales.
OTHER
Required:
• Valid State Driver’s License.
• Proof of minimum state required insurance and licensing on motor vehicle.
• Successful pre- and post -employment background check, credit check and MVR check.
• Ability to work a varied schedule to meet staffing requirements for the store and to cover other stores as needed.
• Flexibility to be contacted at any time regarding store operations and security.
