The Senior Copywriter is responsible for communicating ideas and concepts in a creative, effective, readable manner, persuading new customers to purchase, while up selling existing customers.
The Senior Copy Writer will provide copy for a variety of print and broadcast creative, as requested. This includes, but is not limited to promotional and branded advertising, brochures, direct mail, point of purchase, broadcast television and non-broadcast video. The copywriter must ensure the work fits within the branding strategy and target audiences for a variety of clients.
Maintain a deep understanding of the product, service, target audience and competitor activities in the market.
Decipher strategic needs for the business and translate to copy.
Collaborate and explore different ideas with designers, producers and AE?s to develop executable concepts for print, radio and video mediums, ensuring that the material presented is factual.
Prepare and present draft materials to the creative director, creative team or client. Ensure the team meets all copy and submission deadlines.
Attend or conduct meetings with account executives, at which time the client's requirements and core messages are discussed.
Make changes to copy as needed or requested.
·A Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Mass Communications or a related field. A solid understanding of marketing, media and technology.3-5 years of writing experience in a marketing agency or within a corporate advertising/creative department. Telecommunications experience a plus.
