Background
The Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA) represents 157 Jewish Federations and over 300 independent communities across North America. The Federation movement, collectively among the top 10 charities on the continent, protects and enhances the well-being of Jews worldwide through the values of tikkun olam (repairing the world), tzedakah (charity and social justice) and Torah (Jewish learning).
The Position
JFNA seeks a skilled professional with a successful track record in new business development, corporate partnerships and fundraising. The individual will be responsible for building effective corporate sponsorship function and maximizing all aspects of corporate partnerships.
Responsibilities
Develop and sell corporate sponsorships for JFNA and its events, programs and assets, including online and new media
Create, package and sell new multi-tiered sponsorship programs that
Design, produce, and utilize compelling sponsorship sales materials and presentations
In consultation with senior leadership, establish the programmatic focus and fundraising goals for the program.
Develop and manage a group of corporate partners drawn from companies across North America.
Evaluate the income growth potential of all activities and develop appropriate strategies to ensure income growth
Identify and develop strategies for new prospects.
Oversee all administrative functions of corporate partnerships
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree is required with at least six years of experience in corporate fundraising
Extensive relationships throughout the business and sponsorship community
Excellent negotiation skills and documented record of successfully closing corporate sponsorship deals
Extremely comfortable and effective in settings with senior corporate executives
Experience with corporate fundraising in a major non-profit institution (cultural, academic, research, social service, health, government) is a plus.
