Job Description

This position provides secretarial and administrative support services in an efficient, accurate and courteous manner.  The position requires daily interaction with Intermountain Leadership, Executive Team members, employees, department managers, and Intermountain Healthcare Corporate personnel.

This position will be required to coordinate schedules, notices, agendas, handouts, catering, and other meeting preparation. Take meeting minutes as requested and distribute minutes to involved participants and follow up on assignments given at the meeting.  The incumbent has access to highly confidential data pertaining to all aspects of the organization including patient, employee, legal, financial and strategic planning matters and must display a high degree of professionalism and discretion.

Key   Marketing components of the job include interviewing patients, family members, employees etc. Writing and editing of articles communications and stories for internal publications, video and internet content. Collaborative talents will be required to collaborate to meet presentation and publication deadlines. Experience with Coordination of photo and video shoots as well as general knowledge of graphics and photography is preferred. The position requires excellent communication/interpersonal skills and good decision-making, prioritization, and stress management skills.  

This position will typically work Monday - Friday, 8am to 5pm.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must have high school education or equivalent
  • 3-5 years executive secretary, administrative assistant or office management experience.
  • Must type 60 WPM
  • Demonstrated proficiency with word-processing, spreadsheet and advanced computer applications including a working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Individuals must be willing to learn other specialized computer applications.
  • Ability to handle high level interactions with diplomacy and tact
  • Ability to manage own time and prioritize and perform work in an effective and efficient manner
  • Ability to work well in pressure situations and maintain flexibility to respond to rapidly changing demands
  • Excellent judgment, detail orientation and initiative
  • Excellent organizational, communication and problem resolution skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Writing, editing, interviewing, and presentation building skills
  • Knowledge of company policies, procedures and practices
  • Previous work experience in a communications/marketing area
  • Bachelor's Degree in Communication or related field
  • Medical Terminology
  • Photo and video editing skills
  • Proficiency with publishing programs
