Our client is a leading developer and marketer of premium, branded footwear for dedicated work and outdoor users. The Company's trusted brands are sold through a network of specialty retailers and distributors in the United States, Canada, Europe and Asia.
The Senior Footwear Product Line Manager is responsible for integrating consumer needs and market trends into the company's Outdoor footwear product line offering, which includes Hiking, Rugged Outdoor and Heritage hiking products. This position will research, analyze and make recommendations to the Director of Product Line Management for future considerations of product.
The essential functions of the position include: - Understands and researches the competitive market, consumers, and Outdoor customers. Prepares and maintains accurate and on-going product analyses including forecasting, margins, and suggested prices, closeouts, and minimums. - Defines product needs of the Outdoor consumer and the needs of our clients customers. Analyzes product line and its place in the market. Identifies gaps in product line and makes recommendations to fill those gaps. - Responsible for maintaining line plan for accurate information of current and upcoming seasons. Ensures accuracy of line plan for use by other departments (ie: MarCom, Operations, Purchasing, etc.) - Solicits information from sales force, along with consumer comments, in regards to our clients Outdoor footwear products. Communicates analyses to the Director of Footwear Product and makes product recommendations. - Works closely with the Outdoors Footwear Developer to ensure successful commercialization of the product. - Maintains detailed product information for each season relative to the product brief. Converts the brief into a usable document for catalog, customer service, and sales force, and updates as information changes. Responsible for communicating information in a timely manner. - Serves as point of contact for customers and consumers in regards to the product.
Qualified candidates will have:
- Strong PC Skills required. Word, Excel, and database management - Must be dependable and team oriented. - Must be willing to conduct oneself in accordance with Company's Core Values - Domestic and International travel required, approximately 25%-35%.
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree, or equivalent experience. - 5-7 years' experience in Military/Uniform footwear, apparel, and/ or related products required.
