Job Description
Baxter's BioScience division is a leading producer of both plasma-based and recombinant clotting factors for hemophilia, as well as biopharmaceuticals used to treat immune deficiencies, alpha 1 antitrypsin deficiency and other blood-related disorders. Baxter also produces vaccines for the prevention of infectious diseases, as well as biosurgery products used for hemostasis and tissue-sealing in surgery. Baxter BioScience's breadth and depth of expertise in recombinant protein manufacturing, plasma fractionation and proprietary Vero-cell vaccine manufacturing technologies set it apart from other companies in these fields.
We are seeking a Center of Excellence Sr .Sales Training Manager for the BioScience Division of Baxter. This is a critical role to ensure the appropriate assessment, design, development of essential foundation training elements for global product launches. This position will write training plans and be integrally involved in the development of training modules/materials/validations. This position will also be responsible for implementation via seamless coordination with trainers and/or key commercial liaisons globally to ensure regions/countries can optimize the training for success in sales team launch preparation and launch.

The Sr. Sales Training Manager will be responsible for the following specific Training & Development elements:

Independently conduct sales training needs assessments. Design and develop training plans/modules/sessions/materials that increase sales force skills and knowledge, with a goal of positively impacting sales results.

Determine most effective training methods for training & validation purposes (classroom, workshop, webinar, self-study module, e-learning module, hard copy materials, teleconference).

Partner with global and regional marketing team members to determine universal and local training needs/approaches that support tactical implementation of marketing strategy.

Recommend and manage external vendors to bring high quality services within the set budget.

Provide input to the Sr. Director, CoE Sales Training on the strategic vision and training partnering with global franchises/regions and countries as well as recommending and implementing tactical elements of sales training.

Share expertise and provide guidance to other sales training team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives.

Apply principles of adult learning to ensure training effectiveness and access resources to keep up-to-date on industry best practices.

Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree required. Training & development experience required. Training & development in the healthcare industry preferred. Product launch sales training experience preferred.

Workshop/module/ materials Instructional design experience required. Experience working with marketing, sales and commercial launch teams preferred

5 years of training & development and/or instructional design experience and a minimum of 7 years professional experience required.

Demonstrated ability to effectively assess training needs, design, develop, and implement training to achieve desired training result using adult learning principles. (Must provide examples/samples/evidence of successful assessment , design, development , implementation, and evaluation of training programs )

Can design, develop and deliver results oriented training (vs. activity oriented training).

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and complete those projects on time and on budget.

Demonstrated results orientation and high productivity through effective partnering with team members in multiple functions and at all levels

Demonstrated skill in facilitating groups and excellent presentation skills.

Demonstrated understanding of the selling process - ability to comprehend and execute sales processes.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
