The Media Leader is responsible for directing marketing through offline media channels including: planning, recommending, negotiating, managing and optimizing a variety of traditional media programs and partnerships resulting in direct sales acquisition results. With the appropriate input from stakeholders, determine short- and long-term goals, manage agencies, budgets and personnel to meet acquisition objectives.
DISH Network continually seeks to make our advertising best in class while driving the acquisition of new consumers into the DISH Network subscriber base.Key to this is effective planning, placement, fiduciary and personnel management of paid media.
We utilize a mix of Brand and Direct Response media, and dial up usage of these marketing channels dependant up on the changing needs of the business. This position is charged with driving DISH Subscriber acquisition at the lowest advertising cost, and within the most Brand accretive media channels.We are seeking a leader who can bring a fresh perspective to the team; infuse some new thinking, and continue to improve the media and target alignment.
Fundamental participant in identifying, developing, and evaluating marketing strategy, based on knowledge of business objectives, market characteristics, and cost and markup factors
Leverage competitive intelligence and marketplace trends to provide leadership on how DISH Network should innovate and evolve within the media space
Leverage consumer insights, major marketing campaigns, sponsorships, and new product launches to identify and execute new media programs geared towards acquisition
Evaluate the financial aspects of marketing and advertising, such as budgets, expenditures, and return-on-investment and profit-loss projections to perform an end to end analysis and provide recommendations for future decisions
Manage a marketing budget and prioritize its allocation
Provide extensive interface and liaison to outside agencies and vendors to ensure quality of communications and business relationships
Develop and lead a team of media professionals
Bachelors degree from four-year college or university; Masters degree beneficial;
8+ years experience in marketing
A minimum of 5 years of media planning experience including consumer research, targeting, Direct Response media placement, and media reconciliation
4+ years experience managing a team
Experience at a top innovative agency or brand known for its ability to push the envelope in advertising, customer experience and/or branding
