Senior Measurement SpecialistThe Senior Measurement Specialist is responsible for generating new business (e.g., through proposal development) in the areas of formative and high-stakes appraisal of school performance, district performance, performance of education professionals, and accountability systems that include student growth measures; providing expert consultation to staff and clients; and planning, leading, managing, and implementing projects focused on education measurement and assessment, in particular, the development and evaluation of personnel evaluation systems (e.g., district and statewide teacher and principal evaluation systems). The Senior Measurement Specialist must possess strong communications skills in conveying complex information to lay persons and practitioners, such as teachers, principals, school superintendents, state education agency personnel, and boards consisting of individuals who do not have measurement or assessment backgrounds. A content specialty area or experience in educational environments is highly desirable.
Requirements:
Experience/Education Qualifications: • Requires a doctorate in educational measurement or related field (e.g., Industrial/Organizational Psychology). • Requires five years of experience in the field of measurement, preferably in an educational setting. • Requires a minimum of three years of project management experience. • Requires record of successful proposal bids and other revenue-generating activities. • Requires a record of successful experience in applied measurement related to the development and evaluation of accountability systems (e.g., school performance evaluation, district performance evaluation, student growth modeling, personnel appraisal). • Requires demonstrated on-the-job flexibility and the ability to accept other duties as assigned by corporate leadership. • Demonstrates strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, with the capacity to distill complex and/or technical information into concise, influential communications for both technical and non-technical audiences. Computer Software Expertise: • Microsoft Word, databases, and presentation software • Statistical software packages, such as SPSS, SAS, STATA, R • Confidence working in online environments for communication, data collection, and data management (e.g., use of web meetings, shared web-based data applications, web-based project management systems) Other Requirements: • Ability and willingness to travel (by both air and auto; regionally and nationally) • Valid driver’s license • Clear background check
