Join our team of highly technical professionals engineering and maintaining our Cisco Call Manager/UCCE enterprise voice systems.
The position is responsible for daily telecom activities, which includes planning, tuning, configuring and managing voice telecom systems. Additionally, you will need to review and analyze the functionality and cost effectiveness of vendor proposals as well as work closely with the Call Routing and Data Network teams.
Work activities require use of application software, hardware and operating systems to setup telephony environments and troubleshoot unique problems, while maintaining the production telephony network.
Telecom Engineering:
Provide implementation and integration utilizing Cisco Best Practices.
Provide advanced consultation in the design, planning and implementation of advanced technical network services and configurations
Analyze, setup, monitor, and audit required measures to ensure telecom network performance and security.
Define architecture, engineering requirements, and infrastructure design and integration for telephony needs of business critical applications and functions.
Provide highest level technical leadership for Dish?s corporate telephony network.
Project Implementation:
Provide advanced technical leadership for complex project work, including functional subsystem upgrades for mission-critical telecom devices and services as well as strategic upgrades.
Supply advanced technical direction and leadership to the junior members of the telephony team through the planning and implementation processes.
Establish requirements, provide analysis and service specifications, as well architecture definition.
Provide advanced expertise in the development of telephony test, validation, and integration plans on projects, and ensure maintenance of network integrity throughout project development.
Telecom Operations:
Daily operational responsibility for reliability of Dish?s corporate telephony network.
Manages enterprise telecom systems and services to an operational uptime of 99.99%.
Responsible for design and implementation of telephony services while performing testing and evaluation testing on a regular basis.
Conducts advanced enterprise-level performance tuning as well as performance audits on a regular basis.
Monitors ongoing availability of telecom services and processes.
Demonstrated expertise with VOIP, SIP, PSTN, and POTS.
Familiarity with Inside/Outside plant facilities and LEC operations.
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or two years related experience and/or training; and eight years as a telephony specialist in a medium to large enterprise network; or equivalent combination of education and experience. CCVP is highly desired.
