Senior Training and Exercise Specialist (Part time)
Senior Training and Exercise Specialist in Homeland Defense/Homeland Security programs for Technical Services, to include the National Exercise Program (NEP) and various federal, state and local programs. Candidate will be called to work on a part-time/on-call basis to support specific, requirements associated with National Exercise Program exercises in the Washington DC area.
Basic Qualifications: • 8 years State or Regional emergency management experience
• Minimum 6 years DHS experience at mid- to senior-level management
• Experience with DHS HSEEP-compliant exercises at the state, regional, or federal level
• Minimum 5 years of emergency management training and exercise experience
Preferred Qualifications: • Master Exercise Practitioner (MEP) Certificate - Highly desirable
• Incident Command System (ICS) Certifications
• NIMS Certification
• Experience in Multi-agency Command Centers and/or State Fusion Centers
• HSEEP training completion desired
• Command and staff experience in disaster preparedness and response
