Senior Vice President, Gaming




Job Description:


Wireless Generation has embarked on an ambitious effort to re-invent elementary and secondary school curriculum, with digital games and game mechanics as a major component. The Senior Vice President, Gaming will as serve as producer for game features of the company’s curriculum products.

Wireless Generation has a rapidly expanding portfolio of commercial game design teams, located across North America and Europe; these teams are now developing a broad range of education games. A small in-house team in Brooklyn, led by the company’s Lead Game Designer, directs the creative efforts of these teams.

Responsibilities of the Senior Vice President, Gaming:


  • Determine strategy for placing Wireless Generation gaming products in the K-12 education market, and work with the Lead Game Designer and Chief Technical Officer to ensure that the pipeline of games being developed supports that strategy.
  • Maintain relationships in the gaming industry and interfacing as an industry leader on behalf of Wireless Generation. Work with the Lead Game Designer to identify, attract, select and retain the best talent; conduct successful negotiations with vendors resulting in favorable terms for the company, high-quality results, service and delivery.
  • Responsible for P&L, including budget management and monthly reporting.
  • Participate in stewardship of the company as a member of the executive leadership team.

    Requirements of the Senior Vice President, Gaming:


  • Deep understanding of the gaming industry, a passion for education, business acumen. Knowledge of K12 education markets a plus but not essential.
  • 10+ years of experience in a business leadership role responsible for P&L and 3-5 years’ experience in the Gaming Industry.
  • Proven excellence building a product line, and team of creative and business professionals at all levels .
  • Demonstrated strength in strategic planning.
  • BA/BS degree, MBA preferred.
