Major Job Duties Include: Software program manager overseeing the software development of Bosch next generation ultrasonic parking aid and near-range camera systems. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Maintain software project development plans. * Raise, assign, track and bring to closure software open issues. * Perform risk management and mitigation for the software activity. * On a regular basis, report on software project status to senior management. * Main liaison to the customers regarding software matters. * Lead and coach the software team. * Provide inputs for headcount and resource planning and build a first class software team. * Provide tools and training to the software engineers so that they can do their job. * Deploy processes towards CMMi level3 certification. * Deploy measures towards a 100% First Pass Yield and 100% On- Time Delivery. * Track software development expenses so that they are in budget. * Make Continuous Improvement Proposals. * Implement automation of software validation. * Develop platform-based architecture concept for the camera products. * Sign-off release notes and software documentation. * Manage changes and decide on the content of the different software releases.
Minimum Requirements Include: * BSEE, BSCS or BSCE or equivalent. * 10+ years of experience in the automotive industry. * SW program management or project management experience. * Embedded C and assembler programming experience. * Prior exposure to senior management and customers. * Excellent leadership and communication skills. * Well organized so as to manage numerous customer projects and 2 different product lines. * Knowledge of CMMi or equivalent model (e.g. SPICE). * Works well in a multinational and global team. * Capable of reading and comprehending electrical schematics.
Desired: * German language * Knowledge of configuration management tools: MKS or equivalent (PVCS) * Knowledge of requirement management tools (DOORS) and issue tracking system (ClearQuest) * Knowledge of vehicle networking and diagnostics
