Software Quality Assurance Engineer
Kelly IT Resources has an immediate need for a Software Quality Assurance Engineer located in the Bingen, WA. Software Quality Assurance Engineer- Primary Duties and Responsibilities This is a position for someone with a strong background in computer science, math or science that enables them to learn the skills necessary to successfully test UAS system software and to participate as a team member in software development projects. • Write and execute manual black box test cases to validate requirements and verify correct operation of UAS (unmanned aircraft system) software • Isolate failures to the minimum steps to reliably reproduce • Document defects using defect tracking system • Work with development team to document and reproduce issues • Verify correct resolution of defects • Participate as team member on cross-functional teams • Learn software testing techniques • Learn UAS system capabilities and operation Knowledge Skills and Abilities • A demonstrated passion for customer quality and the test process • A basic understanding of quality assurance terms, practices and techniques • Good interpersonal skills, particularly verbal and written communication • Comprehensive understanding of the scientific method and design of experiments • At least 3 years experience in Software Quality Assurance recommended • Ability to learn quickly and independently • Creativity • Problem solving • Strong desire to learn new skills and technologies • Works well under pressure • Copes well with changing priorities • Microsoft Windows operating systems Skills (Optional): • Understanding of real time and/or embedded systems • Understanding of aviation terms and principles Education BA/BS or equivalent experience required; advanced degree preferred •Specify degree area, if applicable: Computer Science Major For 60 years, Kelly Services has provided outstanding employment opportunities, including temporary, direct hire, and temporary-to-hire, to the most talented individuals in the marketplace.
