Posted Position Title Sourcing Compliance Specialist Career Level Experienced Function Sourcing Function Segment Sourcing Location United States U.S. State, China or Canada Provinces Maryland City Baltimore Postal Code 21220-4201 Relocation Assistance No Role Summary/Purpose The Sourcing Compliance Specialist will lead projects and initiatives with broad scope and high impact to the business or is a recognized expert in Sourcing practice policies and procedures. In this role, you will be responsible for providing compliance guidance to Sourcing employees, participate in training modules, and contribute to the overall Sourcing compliance strategy. In this role, you will: Essential Responsibilities * Provide compliance leadership / oversight to business operations to assure adherence to all aspects of government / company legal and regulatory compliance
* In coordination with business leaders, proactively monitor and analyze compliance risks and corrective action plans
* Develop communication programs to support the CEO in delivering the message that nothing is more important to GE than compliance with the law and keeping this message top of mind in the business
* Ensure that Sourcing employees own compliance and understand the compliance team is available to provide advice and legal guidance on developing a compliant business environment
* Ensure that all Sourcing personnel are aware of the Spirit & Letter policies and their legal obligations under those policies
* Ensure that the role of ombudsperson is known and understood throughout the business Qualifications/Requirements * Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in compliance field
* Minimum of of 2 years of experience in Sourcing with proficiency in risk mitigation and negotiating Additional Eligibility Qualifications GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening. Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen.
