Posted Position Title Sourcing Compliance Specialist Career Level Experienced Function Sourcing Function Segment Sourcing Location United Kingdom City Cheltenham Postal Code GL52 8SF Relocation Assistance No Role Summary/Purpose The Sourcing Compliance Specialist leads projects and initiatives with broad scope and high impact to the business or is a recognized expert in Sourcing practice policies and procedures. In this role you will be responsible for providing compliance guidance to Sourcing employees, participate in training modules, and contribute to the overall Sourcing compliance strategy. Essential Responsibilities .Provide compliance leadership / oversight to business operations to assure adherence to all aspects of government / company legal and regulatory compliance .In coordination with business leaders, proactively monitor and analyze compliance risks and corrective action plans .Develop communication programs to support the CEO in delivering the message that nothing is more important to GE than compliance with the law and keeping this message top of mind in the business .Ensure that Sourcing employees own compliance and understand the compliance team is available to provide advice and legal guidance on developing a compliant business environment .Ensure that all Sourcing personnel are aware of the Spirit & Letter policies and their legal obligations under those policies .Ensure that the role of ombudsperson is known and understood throughout the business Qualifications/Requirements .Bachelor's Degree or similar level of knowledge or experience .Proven experience in compliance field .Demonstrable experience Sourcing with proficiency in risk mitigation and negotiating Desired Characteristics .Working knowledge of the legislation, legal regulations and industry codes .Ability to create a vision and developing strategies to implement the vision .Able to work a clear and measurable set of deliverables using own initiative .Established project management and prioritization skills; ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities .Strong oral and written communications skills .Strong interpersonal and leadership skills .Self-motivated and independent
