Specialist Ntwk Systems Eng - DIRECT LABOR
Using business process engineering techniques, the candidate develops technical solutions and management processes to achieve overall objectives by means of implementing systems or enterprise-wide solutions, utilizing the customer's or a third-party's hardware/software products. The candidate shall gather, analyze, and translate business requirements, technology trends, and current system constraints into overall technology requirements and systems solutions. He shall develop and recommend solutions and strategies, based on the analysis of customer business goals, objectives, needs, and existing systems infrastructure.
Candidate shall be viewed by customers as a consultant and shall work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Interacts with internal and external personnel. Requires 10 years of information systems engineering and/or project management experience. Knowledge of telecommunications architectures, Operation Support Systems, and processes for ordering, provisioning, capacity planning and maintenance are required.
Principal Responsibilities:
The candidate is responsible for the definition, development, implementation, direction of detailed systems solutions for clients using customer products or common off the shelf tools/techniques for Defense customers. Develops and maintains platform or business function specific knowledge in new technology and the potential impact on the customer. Communicates, consults, and ensures conformance to architecture standards. Makes recommendations to development, application and clients groups on technology, architectural and data management issues. Makes technology product and standards selections. Researches, evaluates, and defines hardware and software to insure standard integration throughout the enterprise. Represents the company in developing requirements with our customers. Provides overall leadership in following technical planning and business functions on customer tasking.
Candidate may be required to participate in sales and proposal presentations in addition to completing ongoing team account activities and be able to identify additional product/services business opportunities in the customer organization.
