Performs non-supervisory assignments involving planning and design, development and/or modifications of a geographically specific master plan consistent with department/entity strategy which includes the BSC, RNC, and Femto Gateway. This integrated master plan directs the design and planning of existing and future technology incorporating product specific to market strategies and local requirements across the geographic area. Recipients/users of the master plan may include engineers and planners. Secondary users include operations, fundamental planning, RF engineering and other functional groups as required. Communicates strategy, and provides direction to current planners This would include monitoring, capacity management, design and performance of the BSCs, RNCs, and Femto Gateway. Work with various departments regarding BTS/Node B placement within the BSC, RNC, and Femto Gateway boundary designs, while adhering to engineering best practices and guidelines. May conduct network architecture design, feasibility, and cost studies. Provides guidance and direction to less experienced engineers.

Capital budget management as pertains to Core Ran Edge Network, to be accomplished through the use of tools. Capable of designing the Access Core Ran Edge Network, integrate into both the voice and data core networks. Publish and analyzing, weekly, monthly and adhoc reports for the network element, making network design adjustments as required. Work with Headquarters to evaluate new software and hardware releases and study the impact of introducing such to the existing Access Core network. Utilize numerous types of tools and reporting platforms, make recommendations on network design to ensure quality and load balancing is achieved. Provide recommendations and justification for Access Core Elements during the annual budget planning cycle. Develop equipment network design packages to include network diagrams for all Access Core equipment. Possess the ability to work and communicate effectively with the ATT Network Planning and Engineering team to accomplish engineering objectives.
This position may be responsible for contributing to AT&T�s compliance with environmental laws and regulations as applicable to its job function. This may include, but is not limited to, work related to fuel tanks, emergency and stand-by generators, boilers, hazardous waste, hazardous materials, batteries, manholes and vaults, water wells, linear and other construction projects, water discharge, or air emissions.
