Job Description
1. Independently develop schedules for complex product lines using system tools and/or develop purchasing plans for outside finished good suppliers and raw material suppliers.
2. Ensure that execution of finished goods activities are aligned with the facility goals relative to sales and inventory levels.
3. Partner with Supply Chain to monitor and change forecasts. Provide material forecasts as requested by various departments.
4. Keep management apprised of schedule adherence as well as deviations.
5. High level of interface with Supply Chain (Master Planner/Analyst), Manufacturing, Quality Control, Purchasing, and Projects. Works on projects assigned by management.
6. Maintain integrity of the MRP system and associated processes.
7. Directly responsible for maintaining safety stock levels, routers, issuing WIP lot numbers, creating ""make"" items and maintaining WIP and finished goods kanbans.
8. Facilitates and/or attends various daily, weekly, and monthly meetings as well as creates presentations for reporting out to Senior Management.
9. Determines capacity for Biologics business based upon demand requests from Project Management, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Validation, and Finance using MS Project and/or other tools.
10. Identify and resolve excess, slow move and obsolete inventory issues.
Job Requirements
Bachelors degree in Materials Management/ Business (or similar degree); 5-7 years related experience; APICS certification preferred. Experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably medical devices and/or Biotechnology) is essential.
Strong persuasion and negotiation skills. Both oral and written communication skills; leadership, and organization skills are required. Computer skills and systems knowledge required. Ability to think systematically, strong problem solving and system knowledge. Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques. The ability to work in a fast paced, continuous improvement environment and initiate/foster change.
